VDM Sends Warning To EFCC Over Ongoing Case

Controversial social media personality Martin Vincent Otse, also known as VeryDarkMan, has spoken out about his ongoing issue with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

He revealed that while he is ready to cooperate with the agency, he will not tolerate any action that paints him as a criminal.

The online commentator made these statements in a video, stating that the EFCC still has his phone.

This, according to him, has blocked his access to important platforms like iCloud and WhatsApp.

He said this has made it hard for him to retrieve personal files and evidence linked to some sensitive matters.

VeryDarkMan mentioned that he bought a new phone after his release because he believes the agency may never return the one they seized.

He warned the EFCC not to share any image of him with the label “money laundering.”

According to him, if such a post is made, the public must be shown proof, and the case would have to be handled openly for Nigerians to see.

He added that the claim would not only damage his name but also raise doubts about the credibility of other cases the agency has handled.

He said he would not be bothered if they label the case as tax-related, but he would strongly oppose any mention of money laundering, insisting he has nothing to do with fraud.

Aside from his issue with the EFCC, he also criticised GTBank, accusing the bank of misconduct.

He claimed to have evidence showing what happened during a certain incident at one of their locations.

According to him, the video proof is saved on the same phone the EFCC is holding.

He warned that if the agency deletes that video, it could create a new problem.

VeryDarkMan also urged the EFCC to be careful in how they handle public cases.

He said that any attempt to misrepresent him could lead to legal action.

He noted that even though the EFCC has government power, he is ready to fight for his name and challenge any false claims that could affect his image.

He ended by stating that while he is willing to work with the EFCC, both sides must act fairly to avoid future trouble.
