UNILORIN Student Expelled For Allegedly Demanding Ransom For Missing Colleague

The University of Ilorin (UNILORIN), Kwara State, has expelled a 100-Level student from the Department of Information Technology and Faculty of Communication and Information Sciences for allegedly demanding money from the parents of his missing colleague as ransom.

The expelled student, identified by his matriculation number as 22/52HL004, purportedly demanded money from the parents of his missing colleague in exchange for his safe return.

In a statement contained in the weekly bulletin of the university, signed by the Director of Corporate Affairs of the university, Kunle Akogun, on Monday, the student was identified as Olanrewaju Abdulkabir Abdulkadri.

Also, the university rusticated a 400-level student, Segun Micheal Oyewole, for beating a fellow female student.

Oyewole, who was rusticated for one academic session, was from the department of Counsellor Education, faculty of Education of the university.
