UNILAG Matriculates 495 Students into Sandwich Programme

The University of Lagos, UNILAG, has officially welcomed 495 students into its Sandwich Programme for the 2023/2024 academic session in a matriculation ceremony held on Friday, 13 September 2024, at the Faculty of Education Auditorium.

The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Folasade Ogunsola, OON, FAS, praised the students for their determination to pursue education despite economic challenges. Represented by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academics and Research), Professor Bola Oboh, she congratulated the students on their commitment to learning and encouraged them to inspire others by being role models.

In her remarks, Professor Abigael Ogwezzy, the Director of the Institute of Continuing Education, urged the students to dedicate themselves to rigorous study, while Professor Simeon Oladipo, Dean of the Faculty of Education, emphasized the importance of taking advantage of the university’s programmes and initiatives to become well-rounded graduates.

The Acting Registrar, Mrs Olakunle Makinde, administered the Matriculation Oath to the students during the brief ceremony.
