Former U.S. President Donald Trump has announced that American forces carried out airstrikes targeting nuclear facilities in Iran, describing the mission as highly successful.
Trump, in a post on his Truth Social platform on Saturday, stated that U.S. military aircraft launched strikes on three key nuclear sites — Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan — and safely exited Iranian airspace after completing the operation.
According to him, the Fordow site received the main payload during the attack. He praised the military effort and hailed the personnel involved, referring to them as “great American warriors.”
“All planes are now outside Iran’s airspace and returning safely,” Trump wrote. “There is no other military in the world that could have done this. Now is the time for peace.”
While the statement was celebratory in tone, Trump did not provide evidence to support the claims or mention whether the U.S. government or military would officially confirm the operation.
At the time of reporting, there had been no formal comment from either the Pentagon or Iranian officials.
