Transfer:Joe Aribo edges closer to Southampton move

Super Eagles midfielder, Joe Aribo is subject to undergo a medical at the weekend to seal his move to Premier League side Southampton.

 

 

 

The Saints are set to pay an initial £6 million for the midfielder, with add-ons meaning the transfer could ultimately be worth in excess of £10 million once Rangers’ sell-on clause is factored in.

 

 

 

The proposed transfer is subject to him completing a medical, while he has also agreed terms with the Saints.

Southampton and Rangers have reached an agreement over a £6m fee for Joe Aribo. Deal could rise to £10m with add ons.

 

 

 

“The Nigerian is expected to undergo a medical on Friday/Saturday,” read Ornstein’s tweet.

 

Aribo, 25-year-old, who appeared in all 15 of Rangers’ games in the Europa League last season, was in 2019 signed from Charlton for £300,000.
