Transfer: Trossard Ends Speculation Over Arsenal Future

Arsenal forward Leandro Trossard has ended speculation surrounding his future by committing to remain at the Emirates Stadium beyond the current transfer window.

The Belgian international, who joined the Gunners from Brighton & Hove Albion in January 2023, had been strongly linked with a summer exit amid interest from Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich and several Premier League rivals. Bayern reportedly viewed the 30-year-old as a replacement for Leroy Sané, who departed for Turkish giants Galatasaray.

However, according to The Athletic, Trossard has agreed a new contract with Arsenal following positive talks with the club. The deal, though yet to be officially announced, includes a pay rise that reflects his growing importance in Mikel Arteta’s squad.

The report added that there are “no significant developments” regarding a potential exit, as Trossard has been unreceptive to leaving North London despite the lure of regular minutes elsewhere.

Since arriving at the Emirates, Trossard has established himself as a versatile attacking option, contributing with goals and assists across domestic and European competitions. His decision to stay provides a further boost to Arsenal’s ambitions ahead of the new Premier League season.
