President Bola Tinubu has approved the transfer of four Federal Permanent Secretaries to new ministries.
This decision, made public on Tuesday, is part of an effort to improve how the Civil Service works and to support better results in government offices.
According to a release from the Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, the changes are meant to help the secretaries use their skills in areas where they are most needed.
It also aligns with the president’s goal of improving public service under his Renewed Hope Agenda.
Dr. Mary Ada Ogbe, who was with the Ministry of Solid Minerals Development, will now move to the Ministry of Regional Development. She is expected to work closely with the current Permanent Secretary, who is due for retirement on May 7, 2025.
Engineer Faruk Yusuf Yabo is leaving the Ministry of Communications, Innovation, and Digital Economy to take over at the Ministry of Solid Minerals Development. Dr. Emeka Vitalis Obi will now serve at the Ministry of Petroleum Resources after his time at the Ministry of Budget and Economic Development.
Mr. Ogbodo Chinasa Nnam, previously in the Special Duties Office at the Office of the Head of the Civil Service, will now move to the Ministry of Information and National Orientation.
