The crisis between Edo State Governor Godwin Obaseki and his predecessor, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, has deepened. The alleged latest move from the Oshiomhole camp is the plot to impeach Obaseki. Oshiomhole, the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), reportedly told some of his loyalists “it is now or never” in the attempt to remove Obaseki from office. APC suspends another lawmaker-elect in Edo
The member-elect for the Edo State House of Assembly for Oredo West constituency, Hon Chris Okaeben, has been suspended by the All Progressives Congress in Oredo local government area. Okaeben was last week issued a 48-hour ultimatum to apologise to Governor Godwin Obaseki for misconduct but he replied that he did nothing wrong. Okaeben is one of the 12 members-elect insisting the inauguration of the 7th Edo Assembly was illegal.
