Super Eagles Set for High-Stakes Semi-Final Clash Against Morocco in AFCON 2025

Nigeria’s Super Eagles are set to face host nation Morocco in the semi-final of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations on Wednesday, January 14, 2026.

The match will kick off at 9:00 p.m. at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat, Morocco, promising an electrifying encounter as the Super Eagles strive to secure a place in the tournament final against the home team.

Nigeria secured their semi-final berth with a convincing 2-0 victory over Algeria at the Stade de Marrakech earlier today. This win paves the way for a thrilling clash against Morocco, who advanced after defeating Cameroon in their quarter-final match.

The Super Eagles entered the quarter-finals after a dominant 4-0 triumph over Mozambique in the Round of 16, showcasing their scoring prowess with a remarkable 12 goals in just four games, the highest tally in the tournament.

Prior to facing Nigeria, Algeria had been unbeaten in the tournament and had conceded only once in four matches, earning them a reputation for a strong defensive record. The stage is now set for an intense semi-final as both teams vie for a place in the AFCON final.
