Subsidy: Truck Crushes Popular Monarch Who Boarded Tricycle

A traditional ruler in Ogun state, Abraham Bankole, has been crushed to death by a truck in a bizarre incident that happened at the Sango-Ota axis.

Bankole, the Olu of Onibuku in Ado-Odo/Ota local government area, was hit while alighting from a tricycle at the Ota-Idiroko expressway, close to Bishop David Oyedepo’s Winners Chapel.

The monarch died immediately from the accident, according to NAN.

The commander of the state Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps (TRACE) in Sango-Ota, Adekunle Ajibade, blamed the incident on “dangerous and reckless driving” by the truck driver.

Ajibade revealled that the corpse of the traditional ruler had been deposited at the state hospital in Ota.

He described the accident as avoidable while cautioning motorists against reckless driving.
