Shehu Sani Reacts To Rumours of INEC Chairman’s Death

By Our Correspondent

Former Kaduna senator, Shehu Sani, has reacted to reports alleging that Mahmood Yakubu, the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), has died.

The rumours, circulated by some online platforms, claimed that Yakubu passed away in London following a sudden medical emergency despite being in good health before going to bed.

Dismissing the claims, Sani referred to a recent sighting of Yakubu, indirectly debunking the reports.

He said, “An Online media reported that the Inec Chair is dead, yesterday I saw him in white. May be it’s the ghost.”

It’s really sad that some people find pleasure in spreading rumours. Death is a thing that we all must taste for it’ll come when it’ll come upon everyone
