Senate names 69 committees’ chairmen, goes on recess till Sept.

The Nigerian Senate will begin its annual recess tomorrow and resume in September 24, 2019.

Mr. Lawan Ahmad, President of the Senate made the announcement shortly after the lawmakers unanimously voted to embark on an annual recess.

Mr Lawan also announced 69 standing committees, its chairmen and vice chairmen before adjourning for two months recess.

Tuesday’s announcement was for Committee Chairmen and their deputies, while the Senate President revealed that Committee membership were still being fine-tuned.
