Senate Embarks On Holiday, Reveals Resumption Date

The Senate has paused its sessions until January 14, 2025, giving lawmakers time to celebrate Christmas and New Year.

Before the adjournment, the Senate advanced the 2025 budget, totaling ₦49.7 trillion, through its second reading.

The proposal, titled The Restoration Budget: Securing Peace, Rebuilding Prosperity, had been submitted to the national assembly a day earlier. Senators deliberated on the goals and framework of the fiscal plan during the session.
