Saidi Balogun emerges president TGMAAN

Ace actor and producer, Saidi Balogun has emerged as the new president of The Golden Movie Ambassadors Association of Nigeria (TGMAAN).

Balogun emerged as the association’s leader after its annual convention that was held between May 26, 2022, to May 28, 2022.

Other elected officers include Vice President- Afeez Oyetoro (Saka), Secretary, Adeyemi Adekunle, Asst Secretary Benedict Ayoola, Public Relations Officer, Tunde Olaoye, Assistant P.R.O, Samuel Olaseinde, Welfare Officer, Funmilayo Olaitan, Organising Secretary, Oluwakemi Olaniyan, Treasurer-Dr. Adejoke Muyiwa, Social Secretary- Adediwura Adedayo, Asst Social Secretary-Balogun Tunde Samson, Brand Development Officer- Dare Oyegbola, Chief Whip & Legal Officer-Barrister Abioye Akerele, Financial Secretary-Gbenga Olorunsogo, Ex Officio 1-Kunle Afod, and Ex Officio 2-Dele Fagbọyọ.

In his acceptance speech, Saidi Balogun, the newly elected president promised to offer pragmatic leadership and clear direction for the association.

The convention, tagged Showbiz – Understanding the professional and business part of Filmmaking, was held at the Ilaji Resort, Akanran village, Ibadan.

The convention had a lot of capacity development sessions with lectures given by the likes of Peace Anyiam Osigwe, Adedayo Thomas, Bimbo Manuel, and Barrister Abioye Akerele.

Members of the association had a rewarding experience listening to experts talk about the business of Filmmaking.
