One of the local government administrators appointed by the Rivers State Sole Administrator, Vice Admiral Ibok-Ete Ibas (retd.), has stepped down from his position.
Goodluck Ihemnacho, who was in charge of Ahoada East Local Government Area, submitted his resignation in a letter dated June 20, 2025.
The letter was addressed to the sole administrator overseeing the affairs of the state.
Ihemnacho explained that his decision to leave the role was due to his plan to return to private business.
He thanked both the state government and the people of Ahoada East for the chance to serve.
He had assumed office on April 11, 2025, and formally ended his service with the resignation letter, marking a short period in office that lasted just over two months.
