Residents besiege MTN office over SIM card blockage in Ondo

Residents of Akure, the Ondo State capital, gathered at the MTN office on Monday to protest the blockage of their SIM cards.

Over the weekend, the communication network had blocked numerous customers’ SIM cards, citing issues related to NIN verification.

Some affected customers, who spoke with Starnews NG, lamented the lack of prior notification from the network about linking their NIN to their phone numbers before the blockage.
