Remi Tinubu Welcomes First Baby of the Year in Abuja

The First Lady of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, celebrated the arrival of 2025 by recognising the year’s first newborns at the Asokoro General Hospital in Abuja.

Represented by Nana Shettima, the Vice President’s wife, the First Lady presented gifts to the first male and female babies of the year, alongside other infants born on January 1, Channels TV reports.

She expressed the government’s commitment to fostering an environment where every Nigerian child can succeed and encouraged parents to prioritise their children’s well-being, describing them as valuable to the nation’s future.

The event symbolises hope and support for Nigerian families as the nation steps into the new year.
