Recruitment: Immigration, Civil Defence, Others Issue Important Notice to Applicants

The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire, and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has issued a crucial update for applicants who submitted recruitment applications prior to the recent upgrade of its recruitment portal.

In a press release dated August 1, 2025, and signed by the Board’s Secretary, Maj. Gen. (Rtd.) AM Jibril, the CDCFIB announced that all application records submitted before the upgrade are now accessible via a dedicated portal: https://update.cdcfib.gov.ng.

“All records for applicants who submitted their details prior to the recent upgrade can now be accessed via https://update.cdcfib.gov.ng,” the statement noted.

Applicants were advised to visit the portal to verify their information and complete the submission process. The Board explained that a confirmation slip—bearing the same Application ID as originally issued—will be generated upon successful completion.

However, the CDCFIB emphasized that the portal is strictly for applicants who applied before the upgrade and is not intended for new applications.

“If you have submitted a new application after the upgrade, your latest submission will override any previous entries and will not be visible on this update portal,” the Board clarified.

Applicants have been urged to act promptly and ensure the accuracy of their data to avoid disqualification as the recruitment process progresses.
