The Nigeria Police Force has launched an investigation after a video surfaced online showing actress Angela Okorie jogging while being followed by armed officers.
The clip, which quickly gained attention on social media, sparked outrage and questions about why police personnel were present in such a setting.
The police, through a statement shared on their official X platform on Wednesday, said the behaviour seen in the video does not reflect what is expected from their officers.
According to the statement, early checks suggest the scene may have been recorded near a movie location.
However, the Force explained that this does not excuse the conduct of the officers, which it described as falling below the expected level of discipline.
Authorities confirmed that internal steps are already in motion to identify the officers in the footage and understand the full context.
The outcome of the probe will determine what disciplinary action will be taken.
So far, Angela Okorie has not spoken publicly about the matter.
