Police Nab Three Robbery Suspects, Recover Stolen Cars in Anambra

Three young men were arrested on May 30 by police officers in Anambra State after they were linked to an armed robbery case.

The suspects, all between the ages of 27 and 32, were picked up by the Rapid Response Squad in Agukwu-Nri, Anaocha Local Government Area.

Their arrest followed fresh information obtained during the questioning of another robbery suspect who was already in custody.

Acting on this tip, the police quickly moved in and caught the three men. During the arrest, the officers recovered two vehicles believed to have been stolen.

One was a white Mercedes Benz C300 4MATIC with the plate number KWC 140, and the other was a Lexus 350 with the number 669 CY.

Alongside the cars, two expensive phones and a pump-action gun were also found with the suspects.

Police say the search for other members of the gang is still ongoing.

They believe more people were involved in the crimes and are urging the public to assist with useful information that can help them track down the others.

The officers are working hard behind the scenes to ensure that those who escaped do not remain free for long.

Security efforts like this, according to the police, are part of their ongoing fight against armed robbery and other crimes in the state.
