Police Identify Man Who Approached Tinubu During Kaduna Visit

The Kaduna State Police Command has revealed the identity of the man who rushed toward President Bola Ahmed Tinubu during his recent visit to the state.

The incident happened during the inauguration of a new specialist hospital in Millennium City, Kaduna.

The man has been identified as Umar Mohammed, a resident of Anguwan Muazu in Kaduna. Police investigations show that he has been living with a mental condition since birth.

Security operatives quickly stepped in to stop him from getting too close to the President, briefly interrupting the event.

The police confirmed that Mohammed did not carry any dangerous item and posed no real threat.
They explained that his sudden movement toward the President was out of excitement and not a planned attack.

A video of the moment spread widely online, showing the man’s approach and how security personnel intervened.
President Tinubu remained calm and continued with the event.

The incident took place during the launch of a 300-bed hospital named after the President.

The facility was unveiled by Governor Uba Sani, who also spoke about the role Tinubu played in making the project a reality.
