Lagos State Police Command is currently interrogating the Senior Pastor of House on the Rock Church, Paul Adefarasin, after a video surfaced online showing him holding an object that looked like a gun.
The incident happened on June 6, 2025, when Adefarasin was spotted in a vehicle with tinted windows.
In the video, he lowered the glass and held up what appeared to be a pistol while speaking words that could not be heard clearly.
The person recording the moment quickly apologized and praised the pastor before the car drove off.
Following public reaction, Adefarasin denied carrying or pointing a real firearm at anyone.
However, the police have launched an investigation to find out exactly what took place.
Police spokesman Benjamin Hundeyin confirmed that the pastor has appeared at the command headquarters in Ikeja and is being questioned.
The investigation began soon after the video went viral, showing the pastor in an unregistered car and allegedly confronting another road user with the object in his hand.
The police said findings from the investigation will be shared with the public once it is concluded.
