Panel Finds Maitama Hospital not Liable in One Chance Victim’s Death

A nine-member independent investigative panel established by the government has cleared the Maitama District Hospital from any liability in the tragic death of Greatness Olorunfemi.

The panel, which was formed in October, concluded its thorough examination of the circumstances surrounding the incident on Wednesday and submitted its findings in a comprehensive 94-page report.

Greatness Olorunfemi fell prey to the growing one-chance crime in Abuja. She lost her life after allegedly being stabbed and thrown from a moving vehicle.

Despite the victim’s critical condition, the Maitama District Hospital reportedly refused to provide emergency medical care.

The panel agreed that she was brought in lifeless by Good Samaritans, who discovered her by the roadside and rushed her to the facility.
