One Dead As Building Collapses In Akure.

At least One person have been confirmed dead, after a storey building collapsed around Fanibi junction in Akure, the Ondo state capital on Tuesday morning.

Other occupants of the building, who are said to be of thesame family, are still trapped in the collapsed building.

It was gathered that the incident occurred around 3:00am while the occupants had slept.

Eyewitnesses told our correspondent that the building collapsed and one of the occupants, a woman, died instantly as her bodies had been taken out.

He said neighbors had been helping to rescue others including children trapped in the building.

Rescue operators have not arrived at the scene of the incident as at the time of this report.
