Ondo Socialite Posi Emmanuel Empowers Residents, Trains Youths in Okitipupa

In a bid to promote economic self-sufficiency and reduce unemployment, a renowned socialite and grassroots politician in Ondo State, Olamiposi Awodunmila, popularly known as Posi Emmanuel, has empowered residents of Okitipupa, the headquarters of Okitipupa Local Government Area.

The initiative, themed “Skills Development for Youth Employment”, focused on equipping young people with practical skills to enhance their employability and entrepreneurial prospects.

Participants were trained in various vocations, including Information and Communication Technology (ICT), to enable them to become self-reliant and contribute to economic growth.

Beyond the youth training, Emmanuel also provided financial support and food items to residents, including women, men, and vulnerable individuals in the community.

The empowerment programme was designed to alleviate economic hardship and promote financial stability among beneficiaries.

Speaking at the event, Awodunmila reiterated her commitment to human capital development, stressing the need for skill acquisition and financial assistance in combating poverty.

“This initiative is about empowering our people, both young and old, to become financially independent. Our youths need skills, especially in ICT, to secure employment or start their businesses, while families need support to thrive. I remain committed to initiatives that will uplift the people of Okitipupa and beyond,” she stated.

Beneficiaries expressed appreciation for the gesture, describing it as timely and impactful.

They commended Awodunmila for her continued efforts in grassroots development and called on other well-meaning individuals to follow her example.

Community leaders and stakeholders present at the event lauded the initiative as a crucial step towards fostering sustainable development and economic empowerment in the area.
