Ondo: One killed, Two Abducted by Suspected Gunmen

A man identified as Oluwaseun has lost his life in an attack by suspected kidnappers in Upenmen, Owo Local Government Area of Ondo State.

According to Hope Newspaper, the incident occurred on Saturday when Oluwaseun and two other individuals, whose identities remain unknown, were ambushed by the armed men. A source revealed that while Oluwaseun tried to escape, he was shot dead, and the other two were taken captive.

The source also noted that the increasing cases of abduction in the area have left residents living in fear.

Speaking on the matter, Mr. Owadara Lanre, a local community leader, confirmed the attack and appealed to the government and security agencies to urgently address the worsening security situation in Upenmen.

Attempts to reach the traditional ruler of the community for comments were unsuccessful, as his phone lines were not reachable at the time this report was filed.
