Ondo: Ilaje Youths Threaten To Boycott 2019 Election Over 10 Years Blackouts

Ilaje Youths, under the aegis of Ilaje Advancement Forum, has given the government and the Benin Electricity Distribution Company (BEDC) two months ultimatum to restore electricity back to Ilaje local government areas of Ondo State, failure of which, they threaten to boycott the forth coming 2019 general election in Ondo State.

The Co -Conveners of the group, Ehinmowo Tokunbo and Obayelu Igbekele Steven Dropped this hint while responding to questions on a programme title : “Breakfast Morning Show” on TVC earlier today.

In this video, the group said government at all levels had failed them.

They accused the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) and the Ondo State Oil Development Areas Commission (OSOPADEC) of not being alive to their responsibilities of developing the oil community.

The group claimed they are already in talks with the Bring Back Our Light Team (BBOL) in Ondo south and other notable NGOs to ensure that the “sit at home protest” during election will be successful.
