The Ondo State Security Network Agency, popularly known as the Amotekun Corps, has commenced recruitment for its fifth batch of operatives as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen security across the state.
The Corps announced the exercise in a statement issued on Sunday and signed by Muyideen Fabunmi on behalf of the Corps Commander. According to the statement, the recruitment window will run from Monday, December 1, 2025, to Monday, December 8, 2025.
Fabunmi stated that the new intake was approved by the state government to enhance security operations and improve the protection of lives and property in all parts of the state.
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must be indigenes of Ondo State or persons of Yoruba origin who have resided in the state for at least 10 years. Required documents include:
Local Government of Origin certificate
Evidence of payment of development levy for a minimum of three years
National Identity Card or Permanent Voter Card
Candidates are also expected to possess paramilitary or security-related experience. Acceptable skills include local hunting, mechanical or automobile engineering, building and construction, electrical or electronic engineering, plumbing, welding, painting, tailoring, and ICT competencies such as web or graphics design. A trade test certification in driving or works superintendent training is also acceptable.
The Corps further listed “spiritual endowment” as an added advantage.
Applicants must be at least 20 years old and present proof of physical and mental fitness from a government-recognised hospital. They are also required to submit evidence of good character endorsed by a Notary Public, Chairman of a Local Government Traditional Council, or a Justice of the Peace.
Additionally, applicants must have lived in their current residence for at least three years and provide attestation from a member of their Community Development Association.

The Corps said qualified persons should obtain and complete the application form on the agency’s website, www.ossnamot.com, within the one-week recruitment window. Completed forms and relevant credentials are to be submitted in a sealed envelope addressed to:

Fabunmi noted that shortlisted candidates will be notified via SMS beginning December 8.
Established on March 4, 2020, and amended in July 2022, the Ondo Amotekun Corps is mandated to gather intelligence, combat crime, collaborate with other Southwest security networks, and ensure the safety of residents across highways, forests, waterways, and communities in the state.
