- As 10 PDP senators, three representatives of serving Governors make sudden appearances
Friends and Associates, on Sunday, held a gubernatorial dinner for the leading governorship aspirant of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, Banji Okunomo, at presidential hotel in Portharcourt, Rivers State capital.
The dinner was organised to mop up funds to support the gubernatorial ambition of Okunomo in his quest to run for the governorship election of Ondo State in October this year under the platform of the PDP.
Starnews NG reports that the dinner was graced by 10 serving PDP senators who do not want their names mentioned, with some political office holders who were representatives of interested PDP governors.
Others include some major oil marketers, philanthropists, business men and women, with some high networth individuals who pleaded anonymity during their chats with our correspondent.
Starnews NG can report that the dinner was highly successful with undisclosed millions of naira raised.
