Ondo 202: Ajayi of ZLP wins opinion poll conducted by Ondo group

In a recent online poll conducted by a group on Facebook – the Ondo South Young Elite Forum, the results and outcome of the poll have shown that there’s every likelihood that the candidate of the ZLP (Hon. Agboola Ajayi) will clearly win the Saturday gubernatorial elections in Ondo South as more than 65% of the total voters pitched their tents with the ZLP candidate.

Etitayo Jegede (SAN) of the PDP came 2nd while the incumbent governor Akeredolu Rotimi of the PDP came a distant 3rd.

The break down and details of the votes are as follows;

Agboola Ajayi (ZLP) – 260 votes

Eyitayo Jegede (PDP) – 105 votes

Akeredolu Rotimi (APC) – 45 votes.

The members of the group popularly called “ELITES” have publicly encouraged Ondo state indigenes to go out and exercise their civil rights on Saturday while ensuring they shun any form of election violence.

Ondo South Young Elite Forum is a registered & fast growing Facebook indigenous group consisting of Youths from Ilaje, Eseodo, Irele, Okitipupa, Odigbo & Ileoluji/Okeigbo LGAs. It currently has 4300 members.

It was jointly created by resourceful ‘Elites’ in February 2020. However, the group is being led by one Akinnagbe Olorunfemi also known as Nagoji.
