The NYSC authorities have allegedly expelled a corps member from Oyo State after he posted a tweet criticizing one of the scheme’s hostels and advocating for the discontinuation of the program.
The corper with the Twitter handle @anthonystilldey who was posted to Iseyin camp, Oyo state, filmed the condition of one of its hostel and shared it online.
The young man likened his hostel, Ajimobi hostel, with a Nigerian prison and called for the scrapping of NYSC.
“Kirikiri >>> Ajimobi hostel..
So I’ll be here for three weeks.
Scrap NYSC now!,” he tweeted.
His tweet had gone viral and had, apparently, gotten the attention of the NYSC who traced it back to him.
Reports online have stated that the Corper was kicked out of the camp over his viral tweet.
