NSCDC Arrests Man for Allegedly Vandalizing Transformer, Recovers Items

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Kano State has reported the arrest of a suspect for alleged vandalism.

In a statement released on Tuesday, SC Ibrahim Idris-Abdullahi, the public relations officer for the Kano State Command, confirmed the arrest.

The suspect, a resident of Layin Tankin Magi in Kura Local Government Area, was apprehended by operatives from the Garun Malam Divisional Office during their midnight patrols.

“The suspect was caught in the act of vandalizing transformer fittings and an electric pole at Dakasoye Village in the Garun Malam Local Government Area,” Idris-Abdullahi stated.

Recovered items included eight iron rods, three PHCN insulators, 43 quarter rods, three long nuts, an aluminum rod, a hammer, and a chisel.

Idris-Abdullahi added that the suspect would be charged in court upon completion of the investigation.
