NSA’s Hilux Stolen During Juma’at Prayers in Abuja

A Toyota Hilux vehicle assigned to the Office of the National Security Adviser (ONSA), Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, has been stolen in Abuja, the nation’s capital.

The black-coloured Hilux was reportedly stolen during Friday’s Juma’at prayers in the Area 10 district of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

According to reports, the vehicle was parked at about 1:05p.m. opposite the Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC) secretariat, while an official of the ONSA was attending prayers at a nearby mosque. However, upon the official’s return after the prayer session, the vehicle was nowhere to be found.

The development was made public by security analyst, Zagazola Makama, who disclosed the incident in a post on his X handle (formerly Twitter), noting that the matter was promptly reported to the Garki Police Division at around 2:00p.m.

Following the report, operatives of the FCT Police Command swung into action, launching a stop-and-search operation at strategic checkpoints and all major entry and exit points within the city.

Confirming the incident, police authorities said investigation had commenced, assuring members of the public that every effort was being made to track down the perpetrators and recover the stolen vehicle.

The Command further stressed that security across the city had been beefed up in light of the development.
