No Nigerian has died or been hurt in the ongoing conflict between Iran and Israel, according to the Nigerian community in the Middle East and North Africa.
The confirmation came after a series of missile strikes were exchanged between the two countries starting on June 13.
The Secretary General of the community, Dr. Omolola Eddo, explained that Nigerians living in both Iran and Israel have remained safe since the crisis began.
She revealed that the community is in touch with its members across the affected areas and has not received any report of death or injury involving Nigerians.
The safety of Nigerians in nearby countries has also been confirmed, with no casualties or injuries recorded there either.
Dr. Eddo added that Nigerian embassies in the affected regions have taken steps to support their citizens.
These include safety advisories, emergency contact lines, and assistance for those who wish to move to safer places.
The embassies are also staying in contact with local authorities to make sure Nigerians are safe and informed.
The community has promised to keep monitoring the situation and share updates as needed.
