Nigerian Prophet Dumps Christianity For Traditional Religion After 10 Years In Ministry

A Nigerian Prophet, who addresses himself as Evangelist/Prophet Newman Edward, with New Life Christian Center – Also Known As Revival Fire, has dumped Christianity for Traditional Religion after 10 years in the ministry, Starnews NG reports.

The Akwa Ibom Prophet who announced his exit from Christianity to traditional religion said in a post on Meta (Facebook) which went viral on the internet that “I have fully accepted my calling to serve my ancestors (Ancestral worship) African traditional religion.”

Starnews NG writes that the shocking announcement by the acclaimed Prophet has gotten Nigerians talking on social media with the screenshot of the post being shared from one platform to another by social media users on Thursday.

Going forward, the former Prophet said people should now be addressing him as ‘Chief Spiritual Dr. Emmanuel.

“Public announcement

“I have fully accepted my calling to serve my ancestors (Ancestral worship) African traditional religion. Religion is the soul of world. Presently into ATW. If you don’t like me or what I do, please the door is open, you can walk away. He who it falls for, will accept his date or suffer it for many years. Address me as Chief Spiritual Dr. Emmanuel.”
