Man Arrested in Lagos for Possession of Pistol

The police in Lagos State have apprehended Toibu Hassan, a 25-year-old man, for allegedly being in possession of a pistol.

SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the police spokesperson in the state, confirmed the arrest via a post on his social media handle on Saturday.

Hassan was reportedly arrested in the Agege area of the state at 6:00 a.m. under the Agege Pen-Cinema bridge by officers from Elere Division.

“During a search, officers recovered one locally made pistol and one expended cartridge from him,” Hundeyin stated.

The spokesperson added that investigations into the matter are currently ongoing.
