Man, 28, Arraigned for Allegedly Stealing 200 Bags of Cement in Ibadan

 

 

In an Iyaganku Magistrates’ Court in Ibadan, a 28-year-old man named Hammed Waheed was arraigned on Thursday for allegedly stealing 200 bags of cement.

 

Waheed, whose residential address was not disclosed, is facing charges of conspiracy and theft.

 

According to Prosecutor Philip Amusan, Waheed and others, who are currently at large, committed the offense on February 21 at 11:30 a.m. in the Oke-Ado area of Ibadan.

 

The police allege that Waheed stole the bags of cement belonging to Tunrayo Adeogun.

 

The offense is said to contravene the provisions of Sections 516 and 390(9) of the Criminal Laws of Oyo State, 2000.

 

The defendant however, pleaded not guilty to the charges.

 

The Magistrate, Olasinmibo Sanusi-Zubair, admitted the defendant to bail in the sum of N300, 000 with two reliable sureties in like sum.

 

She adjourned the case until March 20 for hearing.
