Lagos State Ministry of Education Disowns School Resumption Calendar

The Office of Education Quality Assurance (OEQA) Unit of the Lagos State Ministry of Education has warned the public to disregard a resumption timetable in the social media

The timetable, which claims to be the 2020/2021 academic calendar, states that the first term of the session will start on September 21 and end on December 18. Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu said last weekend that the resumption date he announced was tentative.

The purported calendar gives January 11, 2021 and May 3 as the start dates for second and third terms.

However, a statement yesterday by OEQA spokesman Emmanuel Olaniran said the calendar did not emanate from his office.
