Lagos Lawmakers Deny Remi Tinubu’s Involvement in Assembly Crisis

Members of the Lagos State House of Assembly have dismissed claims that Nigeria’s First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, is responsible for the ongoing crisis in the House.

In a statement issued by the Chairman of the House Committee on Information, Strategy, and Security, Stephen Ogundipe, the lawmakers described the allegation as false.

They stated that no member of the Assembly had accused Tinubu of interfering in legislative matters.

The lawmakers acknowledged Tinubu’s contributions to governance as a former First Lady of Lagos and now the First Lady of Nigeria.

They insisted that she has no role in the internal issues affecting the Assembly.

They also urged journalists to verify information before publication, stressing the need for responsible reporting.
