Kaduna Error Bombing: DHQ Sets Up 8-Man Investigative Panel

An eight-person inquiry team has been formed by the Defence Headquarters to look into the December 3 unintentional drone attack of the Tudun Biri hamlet in Kaduna State, which resulted in over 80 fatalities and 70 injuries.

This was announced in Abuja by Major Gen. Edward Buba, Director of Defence Media Operations.

Remember that in order to make sure that something like never occurs again, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the military authorities had both stated that the incident will be investigated to determine the cause of the erroneous bombing.

Buba confirmed that the investigative panel, made up of senior officers from across the military establishment, was set up by the Chief of Defence Staff, Gen Christopher Gwabim Musa.

Apart from being drawn from the services, their membership cut across the six geopolitical zones of the country.

“The panel was set up on December 8, 2023. The outcome of their effort will be communicated in due course.”
