JUST IN: Plateau Governor Shuts Down Saint Academy After Collapse Incident

Plateau State Governor, Caleb Muftwang has ordered the immediate closure of Saint Academy Secondary School.

Twenty-two persons were killed after a two-storey building belonging to the school located Busa Buji in Jos North local government area of Plateau State collapsed yesterday.

The building fell on students who were writing their third term examinations.

Many students and teachers were trapped for several hours before an excavator was brought from the Jos Metropolitan Development Board (IMDB) to rescue them.

The governor has ordered that the school be shut down while calling for judicial enquiry.
