JUST IN: Fubara, Wike’s rift stems from money dispute – Amaechi

Former Rivers State Governor, Rotimi Amaechi, has alleged that the ongoing conflict between the suspended governor, Siminalayi Fubara, and the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, is primarily about the distribution of funds.

Amaechi made this statement during an interview with DW on Saturday, where he also criticized President Bola Tinubu’s intervention in the crisis, calling it unconstitutional.

Commenting on the situation, he said, “The disagreement between the Rivers State governor and the FCT minister revolves around money sharing. If that isn’t the case, then what exactly is the issue? Nigerians seem indifferent to corruption now. I haven’t seen anyone questioning the real cause of the dispute. Can both of them come forward and explain what is truly happening?”

Details later.
