Junior Pope’s Father Dies One Year After Actor’s Tragic Passing

The father of late Nollywood actor Junior Pope, Ozor Luke Odonwodo, has passed away, just a year after his son’s untimely death.

The news of his passing was shared by Junior Pope’s widow, Jenifer Awele Odonwodo, on social media on Wednesday.

Odonwodo, who lived in Enugu, died at an old age, and his passing adds to the sorrow the family has been dealing with since the actor’s sudden death in April 2024.

Junior Pope lost his life in a boat accident while returning from a movie shoot in Anambra State, a tragedy that shocked the entertainment industry and fans alike.

Jenifer recalled visiting her father-in-law weeks before his death, unaware that it would be the last time they would see each other.

She described her bond with him and reflected on how much he cared for her and the entire family.

According to her, he lived a full life, making sacrifices for his family and enjoying the results of his hard work in his later years.

The Odonwodo family is now mourning the loss of both father and son within a short time, and Jenifer expressed hope that they would find strength to move forward despite the pain.

Many friends and well-wishers have also shared their condolences, remembering Ozor Luke Odonwodo as a family man who left behind lasting memories.
