Former President Goodluck Jonathan has urged global leaders to embrace justice and open dialogue as essential tools for achieving lasting peace worldwide.
Speaking at the Rotary International Club of Asokoro’s President’s Night in Abuja, Jonathan stressed the importance of addressing underlying structural, socio-economic, and political inequalities through constructive conversations to resolve conflicts and foster peaceful coexistence.
He also praised Rotary International for its commitment to humanitarian service and peacebuilding, citing his administration’s efforts to promote inclusivity, including the historic admission of female cadets into the Nigerian Defence Academy.
The event also celebrated outstanding female bankers, with awards presented to Hon. Stella Okotete and Hajia Halima Buba for their exemplary contributions.
