YOU ARE MISTAKEN IF YOU BELIEVE JESUS TURNED WATER INTO NON-ALCOHOLIC WINE

Many Christians are more righteous than Jesus.

The scriptures tell us Jesus turned water into wine.  But those who believe it is unrighteous to drink alcohol insist he turned it into non-alcoholic wine or even grape juice.

This is balderdash.  Jesus drank alcohol.  “The Son of Man, on the other hand, feasts and drinks, and you say, ‘He’s a glutton and A DRUNKARD.’” (Matthew 11:19).

People are not maligned as drunkards for drinking grape juice.  They are so maligned for drinking alcohol.

We are not supposed to create our own yardsticks for righteousness: “All our righteousnesses are like filthy rags.” (Isaiah 64:6).  Paul says: “That I may gain Christ and be found in him, not having my own righteousness.” (Philippians 3:8-9).

The follower of Christ can drink alcohol, but not to the point of drunkenness. (1 Corinthians 5:11).
