JAMB Delists Four CBT Centers, 27 Impersonators Arrested

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has arrested 27 individuals for impersonation during the ongoing 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).

These individuals have been handed over to the police for legal action.

In addition, JAMB has removed four Computer-Based Test (CBT) centers from its list due to failure to meet the required technical and ethical standards.

The centers affected are Adventure Associate in Kano, Saadatu Rimi College of Education in Kano, and two locations of Penta M & F Technical Services Ltd in Tambuwal.

Candidates assigned to these centers have been asked to reprint their examination slips to get updated information on their new test centers and dates.

JAMB has apologized for any inconvenience caused but has made it clear that candidates who fail to reprint their slips will not be excused.

As of April 25, 2025, over 900,000 out of the 2,083,600 registered candidates have completed the UTME.

Additionally, JAMB addressed an incident at the Caleb University CBT center, where some candidates wearing hijabs were not allowed to enter the venue.

This was due to a mistake by a security officer, which has since been corrected.

JAMB has apologized and commended the swift action taken by the university and center to resolve the issue.

The board assured that it is committed to ensuring a fair and transparent examination process for all candidates.
