Ajayi, the Ondo State deputy governor, said it is only a state governor that could solve the problems confronting the people in Ilaje and other local governments in Ondo State.

”No deputy governor can solve your problem. I am the current deputy governor of this state and I know what I am talking about. Don’t be deceived with the slot of deputy governorship candidate APC gave to Ilaje. Just like I told them in Okitipupa, I am telling you, here again, a governor is what we need in the south, not a deputy.”

”You all can attest to my performance as a member of the house of representatives. If you elect me the governor, I will put end to the total blackout in Ondo South and would ensure full autonomy for OSOPADEC. All the majority problems I already identified in each local governments of Ondo State would be solved. I won’t run a government of father, mother and son,” he said.

Starnews Nigeria reports that other ZLP’s chieftains, Banji Okunomo, Dr Kola Ademuji, among others, urged the people to reject Akeredolu’s government who according to them has failed the masses.
