“I brushed my teeth 6 times for kissing scene in ‘Water & Garri’” – Tiwa Savage

Nigerian singer, Tiwa Savage, has revealed how she prepared for an intimate scene in her debut movie ‘Water & Garri’.

‘Water & Garri’ was premiered on Prime Video on May 10.

In a recent BET interview, Savage recalled her first-ever kissing experience on set with Andrew Bunting, her co-star (who plays Kay in the movie).

She revealed that in preparation for the scene, she dashed to the bathroom and brushed her teeth six times to give a good impression.

The songstress added that the cast and crew were all professional and supportive.

“The first day on set I had my kissing scene. I am glad it was my first day because I just went right into it. I remember in my dressing room, I brushed my teeth like five, six times because I was like I needed to represent. But, he was very lovely. All of the cast was. They were really really nice,” she said.

In April, Savage revealed that acting was her first love but she turned musician because she had a crush on a guy.

She also opened up about dedicating two months to acting classes to perfect her role in ‘Water & Garri’.

On May 22, the songstress said she produced ‘Water and Garri’ to portray Africa positively.
