How Smugglers Are Using Presidential Number Plates To Deliver Vehicles – Customs

 

 

The Comptroller of the Nigeria Customs Service, Federal Operations Unit, Zone “B” in Kaduna State, Chedi Wada, revealed that smugglers have resorted tod using counterfeit presidential and other governmental number plates to transport vehicles across the country.

During a visit from the NAN Zonal Manager, Bashir Rabe-Mani, Wada emphasized that these smugglers are employing fake plates from various authorities to deceive customs officials.

He reiterated the Customs Service’s commitment to thwarting such tactics, stressing that they’re adept at identifying false plates and won’t allow smugglers to exploit these tactics.

Wada expressed disappointment at the disrespect shown towards the presidency and emphasized the need for smugglers to honor and respect the institution.
