How I Reacted When My Husband, Banky W Joined Politics – Wife

Nigerian actress, Adesua Etomi-Wellington, has shared her personal experience and emotions regarding her husband’s decision to enter the world of politics. Bankole Wellington, known as Banky W, made the announcement on November 11, 2018, expressing his intent to run for the Eti-Osa Federal Constituency seat under the Modern Democratic Party.

Unfortunately, Banky W was not successful in the Eti-Osa Federal Constituency election held on February 23, 2019, as he lost to Babajide Obanikoro from the All Progressives Congress. Undeterred, he decided to give it another shot in the 2023 elections, this time representing the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). However, once again, he faced defeat, this time at the hands of Attah Thaddeus from the Labour Party (LP).

During a recent interview with Hip TV, Adesua openly expressed her initial concerns and worries when Banky W shared his aspirations for political involvement. She admitted feeling a mixture of anxiety and disturbance upon hearing the news.

However, Adesua strongly believes in the power of purpose and decided to wholeheartedly support her husband’s ambitions. She acknowledged that while her fears existed, she understood the significance of pursuing one’s purpose and encouraged Banky W to fulfill his political aspirations.
